Login Problems

Having Problems Getting Logged In?

How do I know if I've gotten logged in?
  You'll know if you've successfully logged in if the "Sign in" text in the upper-right side of the page has turned to "Welcome Your Name".  You'll also see the "Member Perks" tab just to the left of "Home" just below the SAJUG logo in the upper-left portion of the page.  Once logged in you're likely to receive no access errors or requests to log in (except for accessing documents which may result in a request to login).  

How do I know if I have an account on the SAJUG site?
  If you have been to a SAJUG meeting then an account will be created for you.  Please allow 1 week from a meeting date for new accounts to be created.  

What if I can't remember my Login Name (user ID)?
  When initially created your Login Name is the email address that you registered for the meeting with the domain portion (e.g. @domain.com) replaced with "@sajug.com".  For example if you registered with the email myname@company.com your SAJUG site login name will be myname@sajug.com.  Because of the way our SharePoint host works your login name must contain "@sajug.com".
  Although your SAJUG site login name looks like an email address, it is not and emails sent to your login name will not be delivered.  If you wish to change the first part of your SAJUG login name see the Changing Your Login Name wiki page.
  If you have changed your login name and can't remember it see "Getting Further Help" below.  

What is my password?  How can I change it?
  Your password will be sent to you when your account is created.  It should not expire.  If you didn't receive the email with your password, please check that you have whitelisted email from sajug.com.  Then, see "Getting Further Help" below.   You can change your password to something easier for you to remember.  You'll find instruction on the Changing Your Password wiki page.

If you can't get logged in here are some things you can do:

  1. Apps4Rent is our SharePoint web host.  Their technical support folks can be reached 24x7x365 at this toll free phone number: 1-866-716-2040.  Our company name is "SAJUG".  They will assist you.  They will want to validate your identity with the answers to your Challenge Questions.  If you never specified your challenge question it is: Favorite Color.  The answer is "Blue" (unless you've changed it).  Please find further information at the Challenge Question wiki page.
  2. You can send an email to info@sajug.com with your request.  It may take some time for the site administrator to respond to your email.  SAJUG business is not generally handled during normal business hours (we're volunteers too with day jobs :-).
  3. If none of the above is successful you can always contact any of the people listed on the main sajug.com site.
